Wildlife Photography – Heron Posing

Here’s another shot of a Yellow-Crowned Night-Heron taken a the Brazos Bend State Park near Needville, Texas. These birds are normally nocturnal hunters but I must have seen over a dozen in the late afternoon sun.

  1. Beautiful portrait, Jeff. I did some animal photography at the local zoo this past weekend. A friend of mine let me borrow his Nikon D700 and I’m going to be sorry to give it back to him!
