Landscape Photography – Contrast

Happy Monday everyone!

Here is another image taken last week at the McKinney Falls State Park in Austin, Texas. I decided to finish this image using Nik Software’s Silver Efex Pro plug-in for Lightroom. Sometimes a simple black and white image captures the essence of a place.

Shot taken with a Canon EOS 50D set on aperture priority (Av) using an EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM tripod-mounted. The exposure was taken at 24mm, f/11 for 1/30th of a second at ISO 100 on Lexar Professional digital film. Post capture processing was done in Lightroom 2 using Nik’s Silver Efex Pro plug-in. 1. Great depth of field. I see what you have been saying about black and white photos.

    • Hey Mark,

I started with a full spectrum, modified somewhat and added the green filter. Then modified until I got the desired result.
