Bird Photography – Moorhens

The Moorhen (or Marsh Hen as they are sometimes called) is very common here in Southeast Texas, especially during the winter months. They are relatively slow moving and easy to photograph but quite vocal when approached too closely.

  1. Beautiful tones and colors on these last few images, Jeff. Were you able to catch them in tha “golden hour” of the day?

    • I sure was. The sun was hitting the trees and reflecting the golden color of the leaves in the water. No retouching was done on either of these images.
